Sorry it has taken me so long to respond Sara. I absolutely love the journalism school! It is the place to go if you want to do journalism. They tell us that we are "the best of the best" and I would have to agree. The first few classes are Principles of American Journalism, Cross Cultural Journalism and News Writing. Every J-student has to take these classes. These are large lecture hall classes that seem to be "weeding-out" the class, but they are not too bad at all. Then the classes in a particular sequence start (which is the real fun).

This semester I am taking News Writing and the pre-convergence class. I can't wait! I know that I will get hands-on experience. The journalism school's approach is to give the students the tools by hands-on experience taught by professors who have been reporters and editors. This is known as the "Missouri Method." In addition, there are so many Mizzou J-school graduates that are practicing journalism across the country, they form the "Mizzou Mafia." which makes it makes it easier to find jobs and internships. If you have any other questions, please ask!!

How do you like the Journalism program there? I'm considering it but I'm undecided as to where I want to go.
